In essence, true leadership transcends mere authority and control; it emphasizes the cultivation of potential within others. Instead of merely guiding individuals to follow directives, effective leaders inspire those around them to develop their skills, think critically, and take initiative. This is greatly overlooked in today’s society (but also throughout history too, for the most part) and it’s sad that most leaders who come to power seek more self-indulgence and authority, rather than pursue more noble causes for society as a collective.
